A smoother point-of-sale workflow for restaurants

During a busy service, small hand-off problems can slow a restaurant down: unclear table status, order changes that are not communicated, or uncertainty about whether a check is ready to close. A simple shared workflow helps staff stay coordinated.

Make order ownership clear

Agree who opens an order, who can edit it, and how changes are communicated to the kitchen and service team. Keep special instructions attached to the relevant items.

Use table status consistently

Define what each table status means and when it should change—for example, seated, ordering, serving, or ready for payment. Consistent meanings make shift handovers easier.

Close the service loop

Before closing a check, confirm that the order is complete and the payment has been recorded correctly. At the end of a shift, review open orders and unresolved corrections with the team.

APS offers POS and table-management capabilities for restaurant workflows. Review the feature details and demo to confirm they fit your service model.
